Gallstones vs. Kidney Stones Understanding the Difference

Gallstones and kidney stones are both common conditions that involve the formation of stones, but they affect different organs and have distinct causes and symptoms. Gallstones develop in the gallbladder due to an imbalance in bile components, leading to abdominal pain, nausea, and jaundice. On the other hand, kidney stones form in the kidneys when there is an accumulation of mineral and salt deposits, causing intense pain in the back or side, blood in urine, and frequent urination. Understanding the differences between these two conditions is crucial for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
